​

Training:

  • I hold a Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Dance/Movement Therapy from Sarah Lawrence College located in Bronxville, NY

  • I received my Master of Science Degree in 2014

  • The Dance/Movement Therapy Master’s program that I completed was rooted in counseling theory and practice.

  • I am currently in the highest level of advanced training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. This training is designed as a post grad, 1500-hour, 3-year commitment and will afford me the credential of FAMI (Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery) once complete. I am currently endorsed by the Atlantis Institute for Consciousness and Music.

  • I hold an undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ

  • I am trained in Neurologic Music Therapy (#1934)

 

Certification/Licensure

  • I am a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, which is recognized and maintained nationally through the Dance/Movement Therapy Certification Board (Certification #1495). 

  • I currently hold an associate license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, endorsed by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and verified by Psychology Today (LPCC.0019688)

  • Certified Thanatologist through the NY Open Center, endorsed by the Association for Death Education and Counseling

  • Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher 500 Hours, Certified by Yoga Alliance (ID #320873)

  • Certified Level I and II in the Usui System of Natural Healing (Reiki)

Experience:

  • I have worked as a music therapist since 2011 and a dance/movement therapist since 2014  in agency, community mental health, memory care, nursing facilities, rehabilitation, and hospice settings.

  • Since completing my graduate degree in 2014, I have worked in similar settings as a dance therapist providing psychotherapy focused on mental health and whole-person care. 

  • I have integrated the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music into my practice since 2022 as an Advanced Level Associate

  • I have taught trauma-informed yoga, adaptive yoga, and mindfulness-based therapy skills and techniques within trauma settings, mTBI, older adult, and young-adult populations. 

 

Techniques/Procedures:

  • I specialize in depth-psychology techniques. The theoretical orientations that I most closely identify with are Jungian, Existential-Humanistic, and  Internal Family Systems.

  • As a board-certified dance therapist, I apply a variety of experiential psychotherapy and verbal processing techniques/approaches to match the specific needs of each individual client. I integrate and work with all domains of functioning, including: cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, physical.

 

Length of Session:

  • Full length Bonny Method of Guided Imagery, Dance/Movement Therapy and/or other Experiential modalities are 80 minutes.

  • Verbal Processing and Family Sessions are 50 minutes or can be extended to 80 minute
